Evergreen Aviation Museum!

I know it’s been a while, but I’ve got some new content to share that’s a bit different than my usual Oregon Coast stuff. Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the Evergreen Aviation Museum (home of the “Spruce Goose) in McMinnville, Oregon. Here are my photographic highlights of the day:

Overview of the building housing the famous “Spruce Goose.” That flying boat is huge!

Detail of prop and engine of a biplane.

A Sopwith Camel

Detail on an “Avenger” torpedo bomber from WWII.

P38 Lightning

Interior of a Ford Tri-Motor

F4 Phantom

SR71 Blackbird, fastest production plane ever

F4U Corsair, WWII fighter that was put to good use in the South Pacific

Now, if you’re wanting to see a few more, all of my “keepers” from the day can be found here. Please to enjoy.
